Humanity First - £8,000 Great Ormond Street Hospital - £4,700 Leukaemia Research - £4,700 MacMillan Cancer Support - £4,700 Save the Children - £4,700 Victim Support Surrey - £3,000 CHIKS - £500 Mayor of Merton's Charities - £500 The Charity Challenge was successfully held on Sunday 27th August. The event was blessed with ideal weather as over 500 participants gathered in Islamabad, Tilford. In total there were 305 adults between 16 and 40, 195 children under 15 and 17 walkers aged over 40. The oldest participant was 78 years old and completed 8 miles. Over 45k of promises of sponsorship were obtained in total with 11k already given. The fund raising was of a high standard with many walkers raising over £1,000.
In addition to payment sent directly to the charities online the following amounts were presented to the charities. In total over £40,000 raised by the event.
