In addition to payment sent directly to the charities online the following amounts were presented to the charities. In total over £40,000 raised by the event.

The Walk - Islamabad, Tilford, 27th August 2006

The Charity Challenge was successfully held on Sunday 27th August. The event was blessed with ideal weather as over 500 participants gathered in Islamabad, Tilford. In total there were 305 adults between 16 and 40, 195 children under 15 and 17 walkers aged over 40. The oldest participant was 78 years old and completed 8 miles. Over 45k of promises of sponsorship were obtained in total with 11k already given. The fund raising was of a high standard with many walkers raising over £1,000.

Charity Challenge 2006 - 500 people, 45K Pledged

Under the Chairmanship of Naib Sadr, Fahim Anwer Sb, search for the Charity Challenge venue began in early 2006 and it was eventually decided to use Islamabad to host the event and devise a round route, which will enable Islamabad to be the start and finish point for the event. The date set for the event was 27th August 2006.
