MKA UK held its annual charity walk at Lyme Park, Disley, Cheshire. Lyme Park was chosen as a venue for its spectacular scenery, to give khuddam and Atfal a true taste of the North. The National Trust supported the Charity Challenge with great enthusiasm and provided the park as its venue. The event was attended by 450 people with 408 khuddam registering before the walk started. The walkers started a little later than planned at 11:30, and the runners left at 12:20pm. The Atfal were dropped half way round the route so they could avoid the 'cliff' section of the walk. Most of the walkers completed a very hilly 9 mile route within 2 hours. My sincere thanks go to the dedicated and hardworking marshals and volunteers. |
