2005 - Lyme Park

In 2005, the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Charity Challenge was held in Manchester. The starting point for the challenge was set at the Lyme Park Estate, Cheshire. The Lyme Park Estate has a lot of history, and dates back almost 600 years. Now the property of the National Trust, it has been described as a “Great estate with lavishly decorated house and fine gardens”

The Estate includes: -

    * A Tudor house transformed into a huge Italianate palace in the 18th century
    * Tranquil Victorian garden, with roses, reflection lake and sunken parterre
    * Vast medieval deer park, moorland and woodland estate to explore

Previous walks have been held across the country, from Milton Keynes in 2004 to Wimbledon Common & Richmond Park in 2001. A list of the last 10 walks can be found in the previous walks section
