Leukaemia Research was established in 1960 and is still the only national research charity devoted exclusively to leukaemia, the lymphomas, myeloma, aplastic anaemia, myelodysplasia, the myeloproliferative disorders and the related blood disorders in both children and adults.

We receive no government grants and depend entirely on voluntary donations. A substantial part of the money we need to fight these diseases is raised by more than 150 voluntary Branches across England, Scotland and Wales.

Supporting doctors and scientists at hospitals and academic institutions throughout the country, we fund a wide range of projects, from basic laboratory research to clinical trials with patients.

MKA UK and Leukaemia Research

Leukaemia Research have been a sponsored charity now for a number of years and MKA UK actively help them in their events, marshalling on their bikeathons.

MKA UK had the honour of being presented an award by Leukaemia Research for outstanding contributions earlier this year. Over the years MKA UK have donated more than £150,000 to Leukaemia Research.
