Overview

Humanity First is a UK based charitable trust established to promote and safeguard the preservation of human life and dignity. It is a non-political, non-sectarian international relief and development agency that works with communities around the globe to improve the quality of life for some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.

All aid workers and the management of Humanity First are unpaid volunteers and administrative expenses are negligible.

Objectives

• Relieve people’s suffering caused by natural disasters or human conflict
• Promote peace and understanding based on mutual tolerance and mutual respect
• Strengthen people’s capacity to help themselves.

Background

Humanity First is a UK registered charity. It was set up in the early 1990's to ensure that the maximum amount of the funds raised and donated reached the people in need, both in the UK and abroad.

Everyone working for Humanity First - aid workers, fund raisers, and administrators - are unpaid volunteers. All personal expenses are met by the volunteers to maximise the use of funds raised and donated for those in need.

The main efforts of Humanity First are concentrated on working with and through other statutory and voluntary organisations to meet the most urgent need efficiently.

MKA UK and Humanity First

MKA UK has been a long term supporter of Humanity First. in terms of charity events we have donated in excess of £25000 over the years but in terms of funds collected for various disasters MKA UK have collected in excess of £100,000 over the years as well as collected food, clothing and medicines.
