Raise Money Online With JustGiving

Justgiving lets people donate to charities online.                           
It's easy, quick and tax-friendly. 
This is a step-by-step guide to setting up your own page for the MKA 10K Charity Challenge. 

Step 1.          
Go to the website;
http://justgiving.com/

Step 2.
On the homepage click on the section marked as “Make your page”

Step 3.

On the “What sort of page would you like to create” page click on the “sporting” link.

Step 4.
On the “About your fundraising page” click on “running / marathons” and then select the date of the event “10 May 2009”
Then Click Continue

Step 5.
On the “About the event” look for “MKA 10K Charity Challenge”, if you cannot find it in the list then add it to the “can’t find your event” section on the right.
Then Click on “Continue”

Step 6.
On the “Find a charity”, enter the name of your charity of choice and click search. 

The following charities are being supported by MKA for 2009, please select one of these for steps 6/7. 

 

Royal hospital for Neuro-Disabilty 

MacMillan Cancer Support

Leukaemia Research 

Humanity First

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children Charity

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC)

Barnardo's Children Charity

Save the Children UK.

Step 7.
Once you have found your charity click on its name on the “Charity search results” page. 

Step 8.
Enter your email address in the email field.
If you already have an account then click on the “I have an account and my password is” and enter your password.
If you don’t have an account then click on “continue using our secure server”. 

Step 9.
If you are new to justgiving then you will have to enter your details in the next page.
Then click continue

Step 10.
On this page you can select the name of your website.
Enter a name that would be easy for your friends and family to remember.
Then click on Create your page.

Step 11.
Once you’ve created your page you can now go to the next step to personalised and share it.
Click on the personalise and share your page section.

Step 12.
Finally your page is now done and all that is left to do is to personalise it.
Once personalised click on save and continue to take you to the page where you can share the page with your friends and family.

Once all of this is completed you are now ready to start collecting money for the charity challenge.
After creating this account please email the URL of your page to mkacc09@mkacc.org
Also you can email this URL to all your friends & family and ask them to pay online.
